The long and the short of it is that 1 in 72 of these toys is a special one that can sell for up to $600 on the secondary market. This resonates with what RAM is doing with the alphabet and similar series of coins, where one in 10 tubes contains a special coin worth much more to a collector.


A search of current ebay sales reveals "rare labubu" items that have sold for upwards of $1000 US.

My assessment is that it's a toy craze similar to many others that come and go, however with one's head in the game, there is temporarily money to be made from this.
